Most popular beaches in Istria

If you are planning to go to Istria, but you are still not sure of the location, take a look at this list of the most beautiful Istrian beaches and it may help you decide where to go.

Beach Havajka, Pula

It bears its name for a reason because the waves lapping it are reminiscent of those of the popular Pacific archipelago. Due to these waves, it`s extremely popular among young people, and since it`s quite small, only 30 meters long, it`s quite crowded in summer. It is suitable for the whole family, and here you can swim, dive, fish or jump into the sea from the rocks.

Beach Biondi, Rovinj

Another idyllic Istrian beach that attracts a large number of swimmers. Larger than the previous one, by about 10 times, so there is room for several piers from which you can jump into the sea or spread on them and sunbathe, and you also have a smooth entrance to the sea. Best of all, however, is the view of the old town of Rovinj.

Kanegra beach, Savudrija

The pebble beach is ideal for the whole family, and the pine trees provide shade if you are preparing for a full day stay by the sea. Nearby are a children’s playground, restaurant and cafe and a campsite.

Bijeca beach, Medulin

Whether you want to hide in the shade under the pine trees or fry in the sun, you can do both here. The long sandy beach in Medulin offers everything you may need for a summer vacation and is also accessible for the disabled. If by any chance you get bored of the sea, there is also a swimming pool.

Lanterna beach, Poreč

A beautiful rocky beach with piers, a stone driveway and pebbles are ideal for a family. It has a playground for children, deck chairs, a restaurant and a cafe and a view of the vast sea. It is a kilometre long and not crowded with swimmers.
