Bike trails for kids

Gather your kids, hop on bikes and prepare yourself for exploring beautiful Istria through bike trails that are suitable for kids as well. We`re bringing some of the well-known Istrian bike trails.

Family trail Vižinada

The tour starts from Vižinada along the route of the former narrow-gauge railway Parenzana, then you cross the main road and on macadam, you head towards the village of Bajkini and further towards Kaštelir. On the tour, you pass through many typical Istrian villages with stone houses, olive groves, vineyards, chestnut forests and areas of northern Mediterranean macchia. At the village of Ohnići, you rejoin Parenzana, which takes you back to Vižinada. The tour mainly leads on field roads and macadam, so we recommend the use of mountain bikes.

Trail of Sculptures by a famous artist

The path of the famous artist’s sculptures starts from Vrsar, from where you drive along the symmetrical furrows of the vineyards towards Funtana and the dinosaur park. Set in a lush forest environment, the fun Dinopark offers play and socializing with fascinating prehistoric creatures. Continue driving all the way to the Sculpture Park of Dušan Džamonja, one of the most famous Croatian sculptors. On your interesting trail, you will find the sculpture on the way back to Vrsar, in an open-air gallery overlooking the sea.

Trail Labin – Raša

Welcome to the Labin – Raša trail, which takes you from the city of art galleries, charming churches and baroque palaces – the ancient town of Labin to the youngest town in Istria – Raša! Start from the old town of Labin located on a hill as high as 320m. In its historic centre from the top of the hill, you can admire the views of the surrounding villages, the modern summer resort of Rabac and the mountain Učka. And we invite you to take the path to the surrounding settlements through the village of Barbići where you reach the town of Raša by fire!
